The ILO, in cooperation with the Government of Italy, is organizing a High-level Interactive Dialogue, in the form of a panel discussion, to facilitate the sharing of views, experiences and practices from various regional perspectives. The discussion will centre around the implementation of different elements of the ILO’s Fair Migration Agenda, and will aim to respond to such questions as:

• How to foster policy coherence in the fields of employment and labour migration?
• In times of economic and political uncertainty, what role can labour ministries and the social partners play to address the challenges of labour migration in a way that is beneficial for all concerned?

The event will be co-hosted by the Government of Italy, represented by Mr Giuliano Poletti, Minister of Labour of Italy; and the ILO, represented by the Director-General, Mr Guy Ryder. The panel will consist of Mr Ernesto Carles Rudy, Minister of Labour, Panama; Mr Hou Vudthy, Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Labour, Royal Government of Cambodia; a ministerial-level representative of South Africa; Ms Ronnie Goldberg, Employers’ Representative; and Ms Binda Pandey, Workers’ Representative.
The panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer session.
