Cabinet Decision No. 46 of 2014 on fixing pension value to some categories that are set in Law No. 38 of 1995 on social security and its granting rules.

The Decision provides that there are 12 categories that shall receive a pension, they must present a report on their social and financial status each year to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, when renewing their pension ID. If a citizen fails to present the report, their pension would be stopped.
Moreover, those who receive a pension because they are not fit for work must present a medical report every two year, so long as the medical entity is undecided on whether the citizen can be healed from his injury.
The elderly, those with disability and not fit for work, shall receive a bonus of QR 1,500 for hiring a servant. The bonus is included if there is a medical report stating the need of a servant.
The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority is responsible for ensuring the data delivered are accurate. The administration has the right to provide the pension to a guardian if they find that the person deserving of the pension is under age or is not fit to spend the pension for health or mental reasons.
